Tri-State SARE Events
The Tri-State SARE Project offers educational events for farmers and agricultural service providers in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. Workshops and webinars share research-based information, practical skills, and strategies to support sustainable livestock production and pasture management.
Types of Events
Webinars and Online Trainings
Online sessions feature subject-matter experts and cover topics such as livestock nutrition and productivity, grazing management, pasture health, soil fertility, nutrient management, farm economics, and climate resilience. These sessions provide opportunities to learn, ask questions, and connect with agricultural professionals.
In-Person Workshops and Field Trainings
Hands-on workshops take place at farms and agricultural facilities throughout the tri-state region. Participants can observe management practices, explore pasture and livestock systems, participate in demonstrations, and discuss practical applications with farmers and specialists.
Farm Tours and Demonstrations
Farm visits highlight real-world approaches to sustainable livestock production. Participants learn from farm hosts and see how management practices are implemented in different production systems and environments.
Event Schedule
Events are offered throughout the year, with online educational sessions often scheduled during the winter months and hands-on field workshops generally taking place during the spring and summer. Topics and locations vary based on regional needs, project priorities, and opportunities to learn from farmers and specialists.
